I am Christina Marz, founder of MarzMethod®

I teach, coach, and heal with herds all over the world to promote emotional wellbeing for myself, the horses, and our clients. As a HeartMath® Trainer, speaker, Family Therapist, and author of several books, I’ve impacted many lives worldwide. Horses first helped me find calmness and empowerment more than 40 years ago, when I grew up in a complicated home in Germany where I often felt anxious and disconnected - except when I was with the herd.

In 2001, I moved to Ecuador to create a life with more freedom, where I could be closer to nature and finally have my own herd. It hasn’t always been easy, but every challenge has deepened my resilience and expanded my vision. Today, I live in the Andes with my three kids, a herd of horses, and some very opinionated donkeys. Together, we’ve built a quiet mountain home with pasture views that also serves as a sanctuary for learning, healing, and connection.

My work has grown far beyond my wildest imagination. Through MarzMethod, I founded the first global school for equine therapies. I’ve spoken on international stages, including Mindvalley, and taught in diverse settings - from corporate classrooms like PwC Academy in Dubai to intimate therapy spaces and remote retreats all over the world. Across all these contexts, one guiding question remains: how do we become coherent enough to truly listen?

My German mind supports with structure and scientific interest, while the Latin environment I live in brings passion and creativity. The horses anchor it all, reminding me daily that relationships thrive with empathy and presence.
