Hello and welcome to my blog! My name is Christina Marz, and today, we are going to talk about Intuitive Competence and how you can find your passion and use it to make yourself thrive. You may know me as the founder of Horse-Guided Empowerment, but today, we will focus on intuition and how it helped me build a successful life.

Ten years ago, I was an equine coach, renting a pasture for my herd on the grounds of a hotel. Five years ago, after my divorce, I had to move with my herd, leaving me with no savings and three homeschooled kids under 13. However, I refused to let this stop me from making something of myself.

What exactly is Intuitive Competence?

Today, I live with my children in our custom-built home with an amazing view of volcanoes all around. I am a published author and creator of Horse Guided Empowerment. I run the Sin Miedo Center, a nonprofit mental health center in the small town of Cotacachi, Ecuador. I run an international school with students in 26 countries. I have certified 300 people in my methods, and I am the Vice-President of a non-profit organization providing mental health care to everyone, regardless of cost. I closed my first 6-figure year running my own business, on my own terms.

How did I achieve all of this? It all came about from my fierce belief and total devotion to my Intuitive Competences: horses and psychology. I was able to use My Awesome Recipe of Zen to make it happen.

Now, let’s talk about intuition. We all know what that is, but do we really? Jonah Salk, the creator of the polio vaccine many, many years ago said, “Intuition will tell the thinking mind where to look next.Intuition used to be an esoteric concept, but today, it is available to everyone.

The HeartMath Institute, where I am a certified HeartMath trainer, states that your heart processes information 1 second before your brain receives the same information. Your heart then translates this information into Heart Rate Variability, or HRV, which is the distance between each heartbeat. Each distance between beats is then further translated into a specific emotion. A coherent heart rate is a balanced one. The distance between each heartbeat is the same. When we are in heart coherence, our entire system functions in an optimal state. This is when we are able to receive the most intuitive information.

How HeartMath can help you find your Intuitive Competence.

With HeartMath, you will be able to quickly and easily regulate your emotions and be present in the moment. This is important because people with good intuition are observers and deep thinkers with extraordinary awareness. And all of this can be learned! You don’t have to be born with extreme intuition.

When you truly ask your heart what it is you want, people might say to you, “Wow, aren’t you willing to go all in!” “Isn’t that risky?” Or they might observe, “You really have a way with people!” or “You have a sixth sense for business!” This is because you are able to process faster, bypassing the logical analytic process and tap into the wisdom of heart coherence and intuition.

Once you have tapped into that power, you need a way to guide it. The absolute best way to do that is with “The List”, my tool for dynamic visualization. The first step is to ignite your intuition, then gain clarity. Where do you want to go? What do you want? Don’t write anything like world peace or ending hunger. Really think about and identify your personal goals. Achieving these will enable you to do good in the world.

Your next step, after you have clarity over your wants, is to find your AWE! Nature is there to nurture, to amaze with its beauty and strength. I will provide you with a meditation practice that is so easy, yet so.effective in promoting relaxation and reducing stress levels. Meditation doesn’t have to be complicated or time-consuming to be beneficial. In fact, just a few minutes of meditation each day can make a significant difference in your overall well-being. This practice involves focusing your attention on your breath and letting go of any distracting thoughts or emotions that may arise. With regular practice, you’ll find that you’re better able to handle stress and maintain a sense of inner calm and balance. So give it a try and see how it can transform your life!

Let's try HeartMath now!

Let’s practice Heart-Centered Breathing together.

Follow these steps:

  1. Find a quiet and comfortable place to sit. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths to settle in.
  2. Focus your attention on the area of your heart. Imagine your breath flowing in and out of your chest area.
  3. Breathe a bit more slowly and deeper than usual. You can inhale for 5 seconds and exhale for 5 seconds.
  4. With every breath, draw in the feeling of ease and peace, an appreciation for someone or something in your life. It could be a person, a pet, or a feeling of calmness. Connect to that feeling and imagine a situation where you felt like that.
  5. Make a sincere attempt to hold onto this feeling. Bring it into the rest of the day, the rest of the week, and into all of your projects.
  6. Practice Heart-Centered Breathing every day for at least 2 minutes. You can use HeartMath in conjunction with The Magic List, which you’ve learned about in my blog, to enhance your Zen practice.
  7. With consistent practice, you may find that your intuition will EXPLODE!

Remember, Heart-Centered Breathing is a simple and powerful practice that can help you connect with a sense of ease and peace in your daily life. So let’s take a moment to practice it together now!
